Betty Maliska has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Montessori Concentration from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, studied Sociology at Northern Illinois University, has a 3-6 American Montessori Society Certification and holds Montessori Director Credentials in multiple states. She taught for nine years at Crystal Lake Montessori School when her sons, Cole and Max, went to school. Her grandchild goes to a Montessori school in Los Angeles and her daughter-in-law is a 3-6 Montessori teacher in Seattle. She has filled Montessori administrative positions as Head of School or

Assistant Head of School in Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Montana and Georgia and consulted with schools in Greenwood, Mississippi; Phoenix, Arizona, and San Pancho, Mexico. She is excited to be “back home” at CLMS and believes in Montessori’s peaceful approach to education in an environment of inclusion where all children have a voice, we help those weaker than us, and we create dialogue among those who do not agree.
