Ms. Sam came to CLMS 18 years ago because her son was starting Kindergarten and she felt like it was the best opportunity for him to explore education. She then started substitute teaching and that lead to being the after-care teacher. After five years, she started a new career with a church. Ten years later, she returned to CLMS and is going on her third year, once again substituting and doing after-care. Ms. Sam is DCSF certified and loves takes care of toddlers in her own classroom after school.

Ms. Sam says: “I love being with the children and I care about the staff. You couldn’t ask for a better, more loving environment.”

Favorite treat: decaffeinated coffee, hot, and just recently, cold,from Starbucks, but more than the coffee, I have a lot of friends there, and we gather and talk and care about each other, I call it the Starbucks Ministry and find it healing for so many, including me.

One of the rules I live by: “Do the things you have to do, so that you are free to do the things you WANT to do”.
