Ms. Yolanda began her career at CLMS in 2001, after she received her Early Childhood certification. Her daughter, now graduated from college, was her inspiration for becoming a Montessori Teacher. She fell in love with the Montessori Method and loves working at CLMS! Ms. Yolanda was born and raised in Mexico City. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, she worked in the steel industry. She also holds an MBA from Bradley University. Ms. Yolanda loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, and water and snow skiing.

What I love about Montessori: I love that the Montessori approach allows the children to unfold into who they are.

Favorite foods: I could eat avocado every single day. Breyer’s mint chocolate chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream.

3 things I can’t live without: my family and friends, those are the most essential.

Favorite trips: I have been fortunate to travel extensively. I’d still like to visit Greece and Australia.
